It could just be caused by the shaft being a spline or two out as well, I hoped you marked it before dismantling it. I didn't once.....
But I would suggest getting the whole thing done properly with all the parts or you'll start wearing other bits like the front end of the propshaft, the locator piece that mates with the gearbox output being one. Good luck !!
