Check the air cleaner thermostat. It fails in the hot air position and the engine continues to draw air from around the exhaust manifold even after its warmed up. That messes up the mass air sensor. Either replace the thermostat (the plunger should be extended at temperatures above 60 deg. F) or remove it and the flap assembly in its entirety and see if that helps.
