Bought a 122s wagon today for cheap!!! One small problem though...

I'll excuse your use of the word 'tranny' this time* (and forever) because the rope trick RULES THE UNIVERSE. I'll just tie a shoelace around it and loop it over the rear view mirror!! Yeah!!
No, I'll do it right. It's actually good impetus to install a sunroof so I could use the boom truck in the neighborhood. Did Volvo ever have a sunroof option on 122s? I suppose It's not as heavy as I thought it was, so I'll try the rope trick and see what happens. With a good rope.

**** OD QUESTION OF MINIMAL, YET SIGNIFICANT IMPORTANCE SECTION ****

On 122s with factory installed M41s, where was the OD switch located? On the dash with a little purple amythist lamp like my Jensen p1800? On a fragile-looking stalk on the column? Where, WHERE?

Thanks,

Ben

*In my quest for ridding myself of American Mechanic English Invective (oh, there WILL be a coffee table book), I've crossed several words off the list of potential use, all of which have snaked their way back into my vocabulary over time. Perhaps it's time to drop the tranny. Hah!
