Need new engine.

The rod bearings themselves aren't the worst job. The problem is if the crank is scored, and so on. What I mean is, the machine service starts to REALLY add up.

Used engines are usually under a thou, which is a very good price for a whole engine. And for a thou, you would be getting a lower mileage, solid engine, 92 and up probably. Depending on the local market, you might do much better than that.
