wierd electrical stuff???

ahh.. the wonders of being young... nope it wasnt a typo i am running a 2000 watt amp. and yes.. i do have 4 gage wire running to it with a big fuse along with the capacitor in between it and the battery. i have the amp cranked down to a bit under half right now and when its all the way up its RMS output is actually around 800 watts (2000 is the theoretical peak.. although when i tested it we couldnt quite get it to hit that high). i know its hard for you guys to understand why anyone would run something like this.. but im just trying to enjoy my youth (and set off car alarms from 100 feet away ;-) ). i know this is an unusual amount of strain to be putting on a cars electrical system but i have pleanty of friends who are running as much if not more juice than i am and their cars can handle it so i was hoping that maybe you guys could point me to a common weak point the volvo electrical system that i could investigate. if not im planning on putting a B230FT into this car over christmas break and when i do that im going to upgrade to a GM 160 amp alternator and hope that it will help my car be a little more happy. thanks for reading my post and bothering to respond.

Nathan (the 19 year old college student with a volvo)
