Tuning Twin Strombergs

well i got my strombergs tuned today,
the guy pulled them apart rebuilt then, reset the jets, and balanced them. it has made a bit of a difference to the power i can actually us full throtle now.
the old girl still wont lay a bunout in a straight line. and i blow white/blue smoke (lots) when it revs above 4,500rpm but otherwise it is fine.
the guy sair compression was down slighly in all cylinders, is this just the rings??.
what sort of performance should i be getting out of a b20e with twin strombergs??
