Well, I'd go to a bluebook site. I would specifically get a Private Party Value, and a Retail Value. For the Private Party, you will want to be as honest as possible regaurding the mechanical state.

Also, what exactly are the transmission problems?

While we're at it... Is it a GLE or Turbo? Which transmission does it have? What colour are the inside and outside? Saloon or estate? Has it got the cupholder?
