760-T Grinding noise

My mom's 240 was making a noise very similar to what you describe, and it turned out to be worn wheel bearings. I didn't think they were the problem at the time because the sound didn't seem to come from there. My friend who is an aircraft maintenance engineer told me that the vibration from worn or broken parts can travel through the drivetrain and sound like it's coming from somewhere else.
