I wasn't able to check the car out on the road last night. The latest report from the steed's principal driver is that OD does engage, but that the 2-3 shift still seems to happen at higher-than-normal rpm. I think the OD is a separate issue, and I'll Fosterize the relay over the weekend. I'll post more info as I get it.
