I am in the process of getting the nerve up to replace the blower motor in my 1985 240 Wagon . I have the same questions too and also will soon have to do F&R bushings ,replace cracked windshield , replace struts , trans driveshaft bushing , timing belt , exxhaust system - sheesh on a my on friend that I have owned more or less trouble free for 10 years but has been wrecked and repaired by a prior owner . I wonder if ought to be looking for a better 240 to perform these tasks on . ( thanks for listening (: )
