intermittant tranny problem 700

Try this test. Remove ashtray and cover on front panel to allow access to relays. Take it for a drive. Have a pencil or other similar item.

If the trans pops out, try reaching in and tapping the relay. On my 90 740 it's on second row, far right. This sometimes reconnects the relay. If this test cures problem, it probably is the relay. Remove and solder.

Its the large white one usually.
