never mind!

I described the situation to my cousin tonight at dinner and he said to not worry about it. The chip is pretty small, and my main concern was that it would start cracking more and more under pressure. Still, he says it should be okay though. $40's a great deal for that, I'm going to ask him about it again. He might have told me to not bother though because he probably assumed the calipers would have cost me around the dealer price. Thanks! If I can be of any assistance with that hard drive thing though, let me know what problems you're having. I'm handy with computers> :)
