Well, reset the check engine light and see if it comes back. You can't really read the codes out effectively since they could be a year old (unless it just came on).

The rough idle and loping could be any of several things. A plugged fuel filter would be worse at higher speed than low speed.

You should start with a zero equation. What I mean is, put new plugs, cap, rotor, and wires into the car. Then you will know that the ignition system is good. Wires can be bad and not show signs of it very well. Make sure you get a new coil wire as well.

You could verify the timing (if the timing belt is off one tooth, it will run poorly, but it will run. And the check engine light might indicate something. Perhaps the airflow meter is in bad shape. You could clean the airflow meter connections to see if it makes that problem better.

reset the CEL and see what codes come back, and act accordingly. Also, clean out the fusebox, since it can bring along a huge list of maladies when the contacts are corroded.

Just a few things to consider.
