I'm not sure because I haven't crawled under the car (again) yet, but my speedo cable wouldn't thread correctly onto the inst. cluster--- perhaps I got it backwards? Are the threads different on one end? If so, It would explain why MY speedometer was doing the above slamdance before it broke, came off, fell THROUGH the firewall, burned on the exhaust and was dragged for several blocks before I realized what was going on.

Whoops.
