I know that you've probably seen people post here about getting a windshield from one car and putting it in another, or saving the one they have and re-gasketing it. Those can be effective cost-saving measures, but it is usually better to just get a new windshield, since it is--as ite said--around $150. Removing and re-sealing an existing windshield isn't always a great idea because there can be leftover material around the perimeter of the windshield or in the body of the car. This is specifically true with the later style windshield with integral trim. The earlier one was more accessible with respect to the mounting itself. With the later type, in my opinion, it isn't worth trying to remove and re-seal it. It seems better to just get new, clear glass, and have the whole thing guaranteed for a while.
I wouldn't worry about aftermarket glass either: I have had PPG and Viracon, both good quality. The Volvo glass in my 940 has a huge distortion on the passenger side. I would never have accepted it, had it been a replacement, even from an aftermarket supplier. And that one came with the car.
