Buying a 940 vs. 960 900

I appreciate the feedback from those who have responded. I love my 1987 740GLE wagon, but I think I'm getting soft. It's getting a little long in the tooth, I'd like something a little quieter, and I'm figuring to replace it at some point in the next year. There's no question but that I'll get another Volvo, hence my query about the 940 versus the 960. I'm not keen on the 850, can't say why, really, just like rear wheel drive, I guess. I seem to have a natural proclivity to avoid turbos, which is why I was curious about the 960. Seems like almost every 940 I've found is a turbo, and perhaps I'm wrong in discounting them. I tend to equate turbos with money and lack of economy. The power really isn't that big an issue with me. Sheesh, I mean, my commuter car is a 1979 Toyota Corolla. Talk about no power.
