Art,

Thanks for the info. Based on Bentley and interpolating back to an '81, I would have guessed the FP relay. The next chance I have to get at the car, I will recheck the tach to make sure it is not a 6cyl. one. BTW, what is redline on a 6cyl tach? I will also check the wiring to see where it all goes if there is time and it isn't freezing cold - otherwise, it will be a spring project!
