Basic to most idle problems is assuring yourself that the throttle body is clean and linkage properly adjusted. Then set the base idle.

Otherwise, your symptoms read like it is a simple matter of the thumb screw tightened in too much.

the next level of investigation might concern the engine temp signal to the FI computer.
