I had the screens added to my 1990 740 and 1992 940, but they would not fit at the Zexel compressor inlet fitting. I had to install them at the accumulator end of the receiver-dryer line. If Airsept is increasing the screen size population, then you should be able to find one to fit as intended at the compressor inlet.
I also added a liquid-line filter to each car just outboard of the condenser on the passenger side, where I had room for it. It looks like the IPD Magnefine filter for trannies, only it is metal. The combination of the two should keep any contamination or compressor crud under control and keep me from having to replace the entire system some day.
I also added the variable orifice valves and a dye package to be able to trace leaks in the future. So far, no leaks!
If you work fast and tape up or plug lines that are open, you should be fine. Let us know how this goes.
