Well...
My cars are/always have been n/a. However I have (obviously) spent PLENTY of wrench time under the hood of the turbo cars. I'm not really a Turbo guru or anything, though, but after you turn enough nuts and bolts, they become second nature like the n/a cars.
I "prefer" the turbo cars. Unfortunately, the turbo cars I've looked at are all really high miles and kind of worn out, or are just tacky, and run crappy. I don't know what people's deal is with the Turbos up here, but there aren't a lot of nice ones for sale. ANd the nice ones, aren't for sale.
So... having entertained an offer on my 940 for next spring (I mean, with low miles, people want this car). Not so much on the basis of miles, but on the care it's had. If I can get a 94/95 944T, I'll be there. But who knows.. I LOVE my current car. It's the best cruiser I've had so far. And black/tan is a very nice color as well.
However, the turbos are just SO much better in terms of performance. I'd take one any day of the week, if I found one that I really liked. I buy cars based on a lot of factors, and the last time, I had 2 turbos in the running. Both were not as much car as this one was for the money, so I bought this one.
Out of curiosity, is your engine really dying? I mean... it happens, but really not that much.
