Just a week or 10 days ago I heard on TV or read in the newspaper or Grassroots Motorsports... (duh... I forget) that cars older than 25 years may be imported without being subject to emissions controls.

Try a Google search? Spend some time with the Code of Federal Regulations (it's been so long... CFR, right?) at your local large library? (That big honker IS indexed.)
