I have a Flex-a-Lite model 10 electric fan that I'm completely pleased with so far. Was just over $100 with thermostat and all mounting stuff. Only comes on when the car has been idling at a stop for several minutes, runs 45 seconds, comes on again after several minutes...

I've never had it come on while the car is moving at all (then again, I haven't had it long enough to expose it to hot weather).
