70 145 axle halfshaft bearing 140-160

I have a 70 145 also. When a rear bearing made a lot of noise I looked into replacing it. It turned out it was approximately $100 as there is a special ring that holds the bearing and it must be pressed on. Anyway, I went to a self service junkyard and pulled the whole halfshaft assembly off a 71 142, installed it and it has worked fine. It's a tapered roller bearing.
