Alternator problems 200

Your alternator will normally last until the bearings fail, which is a function of how tight you run your belts, usually 100k to 200k.

The brushes will wear out every 100k or so, but that is a cheap easy maintenance chore to replace those. Did you check them?

You are sure that you have appropriate ground and trigger wire voltage to the alternator, and the line from the alternator to battery is sound?
