Now consulting the IPD catalog...processing...processing... 200 1982

For what it's worth, IPD says:

Part #CR61949 for main fuel pump on 1980-83 w/K Jetronic.
same part # for 1981-95 w/K Jet and turbo, but listed separately.
a different part # for 1982-93 w/LH.

Sounds like the change occurred with the switch-over to LH injection.
