how much to replace kickdown cable? 200

I had that done recently on our '89 240 wagon. Paid an independent Volvo repair shop to do it, def NOT the dealer!
Here is what I laid out, (roughly):
Labor=$120,
Kickdown Cable= $62,
Pan Gasket= $7,
3 Qts. ATF= $7.50,
"Hazardous Waste Disposal"=(uh-huh)=$1,
Ourageous sales tax= $6.**
Grand total= $204.**
My comments?,Well, the parts prices were a bit high, esp. the gasket and ATF. Labor is $65/hr, (dealer wants $110/hr). Could have saved probably about $132+/- ,if I had done it myself. Thats is just ONE "base" for you to go by, depends what your local shops want to rip-uh-get for doing it, labor being the "biggie". Good luck.
