I don't think you're crazy. I've bought 2 from him, and plan to buy 2 more in the next year for my son and brother. He has high quality cars at great prices. The first one I bought from him was a '93 Classic when he was called NorthStar and operated out of a dirt lot and you could only pick up your car on Saturday. Talk about nervous! But it's been 3 years and 50,000 miles later and the only problem has been an erratic temp gauge, other than routine maintenance.

I also bought a 93 940 last year, and now have put 20K miles on it. The only probem she's had is a overheating fuel pump relay and a leaking water pump seal.

I heartily recommend Jeff at Torchlight. However, you should always check out any car before you buy it.
