Update on no start problem with bad news 700


Along the lines of Ivan's post, I would recommend you not run the vehicle or the pumps until you have a chance to inspect the lines from the main pump back.

As he stated, the main pump alone can easily drive the entire system, so if the car isn't turning over despite having replaced the main pump it is likely your problem is something other than a bad pre-pump. A plugged line might do it, but something tells me that isn't your problem either.

Are you sure you aren't getting any fuel at the rail? Did you pull the hose off there, put it in a bucket, and run the main pump to see if anything comes out?

How full is the tank now? Have you inspected the fuel sender in the tank for damage to it or the hose that connected the pre-pump to the sender arm? Either one might allow the main pump to pull air from higher in the tank rather than fuel from the bottom.
