Looking at the pics the later style does seem to have a slightly different bottom end (smooth rather than stepped), but I think they should be interchangable.

I fully agree that the red/white ones are by far the best looking, and I see quite a few 940 driving around with them. My supplier doesn't list them for different years, just general "orange/white" or "white/white".

BTW, contact me offlist and I can give you a better price, and that includes shipping.
