One thing that will do that is the fuel pump relay. It has a huge array of effects when it malfunctions and this is one of them, BTDT. Another thing is possible the in-tank repair was done with poor hose or hose clamps that were left loose. This can cause erratic running problems, especially in a K-jet but maybe in an LH car. I'm betting the fuel pump relay. Also check the 25 amp fuse by the battery.
