My family has a long track record on 700 series with B230FT engines. I/we have never had a starter problem. My wife's car has almost 250,000 miles and is running the original starter. My car has over 210,000 miles and the original starter works fine. Some automotive electrical rebuilders are known to turn out some pretty poor products, and you may be a victim of a series of poor rebuilds.
Starters should have at least a one year warrantee. Many aftermarket parts stores like Schucks have a lifetime warrantee on replacement starters and alternators. When the starter on my SUV stuck on and burnt up, I replaced it with a lifetime warrantee starter from Schucks. They count on you selling the vehicle before the starter or alternator gives trouble.
