Your notes are unclear: do you have a heater-only (no a/c) car? Which side of the firewall is the leak?
If your car has a/c, then your problem is:
-leaking heater hose or clamp
-leaking heater water valve (in the hose, below the firewall outlet in the engine compartment)
The heater core and its pipes are integral and are inserted so as to extend through the firewall. This is not so with the heater-only cars.
A 1991 car has a water valve on the verge of failure due to age. Heater hoses are also in need of replacement. See the FAQ.
