Greetings,
The end of the fuel line, which connects to the pressure regulator on the fuel rail, is giving out - usual rubber rot sort of deal... So if I move it with the car running, some fuel will come out... bad!
Question is: It's just the last 1/2" of the line that's rotted, right at the fitting to the regulator - from the clamp being overtight i would guess... so can I just cut that last 1/2" off and put it back on, or is that just going to cause it to fail again quickly? Do I need to replace the whole line to be safe?
I know some pressure carrying hoses are braided and it's not a good idea to just lop off the end...
Thanks for any input :)
