What is this sender 700

The ECT under the number three (from the front) intake runner. I wonder if this is not related to the ACC in the 760's. I have an '87 760 Ti with ACC, and according to the factory manual there is supposed to be an inline T-fitting in the heater hose with a temp sensor. My car doesn't have one but does have a sensor there with two wires going through the firewall where most of the vacuum hoses and wires for the ACC go.

Before I sell my 740 this afternoon I will check to see if it has the same thing.
