Any of you RWD nuts have a All/FWD Volvo?

I was induced by the Life Partner to trade the 245 in on an 01 V70 two years ago. Brandy new and all computerized. Tells me what is wrong. (you have a tail light out) (right rear door open) that sort of thing. Only 50k miles so far, so repairs have not been an issue. I have done the filters and "tune up" without too much trouble. The plastic canister oil filter requires a special tool, but that is not too bad, and a one-time expense. $25 or so. Not too intimidated except by the engine management, and I think that that has to be dealer programmed. Sigh. Brakes and timing belts and stuff should be doable. After all, someone does them, right? Performance of my na 5 speed wagon is pretty decent, especially when compared to the 245, and I can get 30 mpg or so in good weather. Longevity? Have they given one to Irv to find out?
