Fuel Pump Question 700

There are plenty fuel pumps out there making noise that have also been running a long, long time, making said noise.

Ive also heard folks hearing noise in a new fuel pump.

The fuel pump, in general, is very hardy. They can go for many many miles. Noise and all. Ive got one with almost 300,000 miles, and still running fine.

Check the intank pump. Take the lid off the fuel tank inlet. While the car is running use a screwdriver as a stethoscope against the filler neck. You should hear the pump running.
