Stalling in the turns? 700

Assuming your 700 has the Hall Effect type distributor, check the little plug where the low tension wires go into the distributor body. These are often broken leaving the wires free to short out as the loom shifts when cornering.
If this is the case the tach. needle will suddenly drop to zero as the engine cuts out. If this doesn`t happen your problem is probably connected with the fuel system rather than the ignition.
