One other thing to check would be the wiper transmissions. In my experience they are more likely to cause friction in the system. The trans' are the part between the wiper blade & the inside of the car[pardon the ref. if you already know this]. If you disconnect the motor from the linkage & move ir back & forth you can see if it's stiff. Most of the time they can be freed up with penetrating oil. If not they have to be removed & disassembled-a real pain. Hope this helps. P.S. My 145 wipers move appr. 2 sweeps per sec. on high speed.
