I'm a Volvo owner again. Had a '86 740 sedan a few years back, and someone just gave me a '89 Volvo 740 wagon, happy to have the wagon. Great car that I'm looking forward to driving, maybe drop in a Ford V8 sometime.
The car was neglected all winter, here in Maine, and it's mine once I get it running and out of my friends driveway.
We dropped a new battery in, and all she did was click and whine a bit. I think the starter is the first place to start. Any other opinions? I've heard the starter will "freeze up", and can be freed by wacking the starter with a hammer. Do starters get lubricated? Anything else I should do after a winter of inactivity?
Thanks for the help, and Brickboard!
