You wrote "Now it is pumping so much fuel that it will actually put the engine into a "hydrostatic lock" condition."

This doesn't sound like a computer problem. This sounds like a failed fuel pressure regulator (an extreme case).

Check the 700/900 FAQ for advice on troubleshooting this possibility from people who really know (I'm not an authority).
