That's because nobody distinguishes between Scan Tech, and the subsets of parts that they "make" (which they don't).

I don't buy much of their stuff, but the parts that I have had, aren't that bad. But I am usually careful about getting parts from suppliers who have already weeded out the junk parts and supply othger Volvo shops, so there is that level of protection.
