manifold from hell 200 1983

Glowing red exhaust manifold is definitely not normal. Either the air/fuel mixture is out of wack or there may be a problem with the intake or exhaust manifold (cracked exhaust manifold before the 02 sensor)or some other items.

Mine did this for quite some time. I had a cracked exhaust manifold.

I replaced it, adjusted the air/fuel mixture (dealer did this part) to within operating specs, replaced cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, coil, vacume hoses (can you tell it took forever to fix this?) and other devices.

Have fun and be careful.

Lawren
