Q: What do you mean by the bellhousing?
A: The large aluminum casting that bolts to the engine, surrounds the clutch mechanism (or torque convertor on an auto tranny) and bolts to the tranny. You need a manual tranny bellhousing, they are the same between OD and non-OD tranmissions.
Q: What is the retainer that you put in with the clutch piolt bearing?
A: Just a little circlip and washer. I don't know if they come with new pilot bearings or not. I've heard of auto tranny equipped B20 engines not machined for a pilot bearing on the crank end, but I've never personally seen one.
Q: Where can i get a switch? Where do i put it?
A: Depends on how stock you want it to look. Stock fitment is a stalk switch on the other side of the column from the turn signal switch. Failing that you could put a switch about anywhere - remove the cigarette lighter and use a stock style switch, mount a switch in the center console near the gear switch.
Q: How do i wire through the 4th gear switch on the tranny?
A: The wiring will go as such. From the fuse block, 12 volts positive to one terminal of your inside switch. From the other terminal go to one terminal of the 4th gear switch (check with a multimeter to make sure you have the right switch - its on the top of the tran cover plate and is open in R,1,2,3, and neutral, closed in 4th). From the other terminal go to one terminal of the OD solenoid. The other terminal of the solenoid is wired to ground.
Q: How do i put in the over drive?
A: It's an extra chunky device bolted to the end of your donor tranny. They are installed as a (heavy and long) single unit.
