ITA about replacing metal with metal. What I did was a stopgap, no more, though I did use fuel line and oversized hose clamps. I had the rear end up, car in gear, engine running-no leaks at all. So this buys me time to find a metal fuel line. There are two junkyards within 50 miles of here; I think each one has a token 740; I'll check there first. I found nothing online, and the closest dealer is 150-plus miles away in El Paso. I may end up with a braided steel line, or hook up with a custom-bent piece from a fabricator. Wish me happy hunting!
