squealing brakes... as in high pitched squealing? are you sure the pads aren't just worn? after a normal drive, is either one of the wheels EXTREMELY hot? if so, it might indicate seized floating pins or a piston thus causing your brakes to wear ridiculously fast and run ridiculously hot.
as for the clunk, that could be a lot of different things. i believe ball joints can do it. in my own case, my sway bar end links had snapped and the front sway bar was bobbing up and down freely.
