shift indicator light 700

i disconnected the battery on my 740 turbo m46 this morning, it was off for a fue hours. when i hooked it up again and started the car the radio asked for a code , put it in no problem , the shift indicator light was on also . i followed directions found in a previous post as to how you reset the light to the desired rpm. the light is still on and wont go out any suggestions would help
