87-740 condenser cooling fan operation?

I was considering wiring so the fan would come on with the a/c. What about a relay supplying battery voltage to the fan, using a wirespliced into the wire coming from the pressure sensor as a trigger. That way the fan would run whenever the a/c is on.

So the fan would run, and , I guess the engine would advance 10 degrees whenever the a/c was on. Would that work? Then I wouldnt need a diode.
Or, Iam I overlooking something?
