I could never quite understand the attraction of going to an automatic transmission in a PV, which most people who put V-anythings into them seem to do. So I put the question to a practitioner. The reply made sense, at least to me; the tunnel widening and fire wall modifications required to accomodate the engine don't leave enough room for three pedals.
