760 Shift knob 700 1984

Remove the leather boot cover. You will see the wires coming back out. Pull easily on the wires and you can get some more length to pull up to the knob. Pop off the shifting diagram, then use a small screwdriver to pry off the button, thread the wires through the knob, glue the knob back on, plug in the wires and work the button in slowly. Then pull the excess wire back down, close up the boot, your done.
