coolant loss from sensor 700 1989

If it's leaking from around the sensor, simply pull the sensor and reinstall it using a teflon paste. Teflon tape works too but may insulate the sensor slightly more.

If the sensor is leaking itself..replace it. IIRC the sensor is embedded in a brass shell and shouldn't/can't leak except from around the brass shell and the iron block or aluminum head. Sounds more and more like a remove, seal, and reinstall. You may also be able to tighten the sensor a 1/4 turn or so and stop the leak.
